DescriptionEdit

Princess Zelda and several other people are turned to stone by the evil sorcerer Vaati. The actual method of petrification is never shown in the manga, unlike in the game. Zelda has a stunned look on her face. The statues have a light grey appearance and a slightly rough-looking texture. There's also a line that appears to be a crack that appears, disappears, and reappears on the opposite side of Zelda's face depending on the scene.

ContextEdit

The Legend of Zelda:  The Minish Cap is a manga adaptation of the 2004 Nintendo and Capcom Game Boy Advance game in which Link sets out on a quest to reforge the legendary Picori Blade, defeat the evil sorcerer Vaati, and restore the petrified Princess Zelda.

Much like the video game, the adventure starts when Vaati attacks Hyrule Castle and petrifies Princess Zelda.  She remains petrified until near the very end of the story.  Near the end of the story, Vaati transforms Hyrule Castle into a dark version of itself and petrifies everyone in the castle.  Link uses the reforged blade to defeat Vaati, and all of the statues Vaati created return to normal.

OpinionsEdit

Review Score User
"There's some nice close ups of the Zelda statue and the effect is nice. It could use some more scenes though, but it's a nice enough scene altogether."  3/5 StoneLad

Other adaptationsEdit

The Legend of Zelda:  The Minish Cap Video GameEdit

This is the manga adaptation of the video game, which can be seen on its own page on the wiki. The manga lacks a scene of everyone in the castle transforming from stone back to humans.  Also, in the video game, Zelda remarks that she had visions of Link as if in a dream while she was a statue.  She makes it clear that she was aware that she had been turned to stone.  In the manga, she is confused upon becoming human again and remarks that she had dreams of Link and believes she was just sleeping.
